Easily accessible to all of your family, this boardwalk acquaints you with some of the 28 (counted on display board) birds that visit. Also there are the resident crocodiles, snakes, lizards, frogs, nutria and fish that are part of the wetland setting and enhance your enjoyment of seeing "nature up-close". Birders are some of the friendliest and knowledgable folks and willingly point out the different birds present. Our family luckily met a professor from the University of Texas who had a telescope set up so we could see the crocodiles in the tall grasses. Our 6 & 9 year old granddaughters were elated! Every visit to this Center reveals something new and different.
