Hands-On-History at Farley Boat Works
Tune into Texas Country Reporter this weekend for a look at Farley Boat Works in action. Host Bob Phillips and crew visited the shop in August to see what the volunteer group is doing to preserve traditional boat building in Texas.

Conquer the Coast is a 18mi., 25 mi. and 65 mi. bicycle ride. The longer 65 mile ride makes an entire loop around Corpus Christi Bay with lots of scenery along the way including the Port A Ferry, Port A and Mustang Island.

David & Barbara Brown headline this month's Sunset Sounds Friday, September 14. Bring a blanket, chairs and refreshments to the Pasty Jones Amphitheater at Robert's Point Park to enjoy the sounds of hill country serenading beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The IFA Redfish Tournament returns to Port A this weekend for both an outboard tournament and kayak event.
Registration and a captain's meeting (for the outboard anglers) is today Thursday, September 13, 2012 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The Slidell, Louisiana tournament was canceled due to Hurricane Isaac and rescheduled to take place during the Port A event.
Fishing begins at safe light Friday and Saturday with the weigh-in on both days at 3:00 p.m.
The kayak tournament registration is Saturday, September 15 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with fishing on Sunday.
