    20th Annual Texas SandFest

    Last updated 1 year ago

The 20th Annual Texas SandFest is the largest master sand sculpting competition in the United States. The three-day festival begins Friday, April 29, 2016 and continues through Sunday, May 1, 2016.

Texas SandFest is an invitational event, attracting world-class sculptors. Each year, more than 100,000 people attend this family-friendly festival. Sand sculpting contests and lessons, unique jewelry, art, crafts, music, and food are available. Admission is $5.00 for adults, and children under 12 are free. The event is held on the beach near mile marker 11, between Sandcastle Drive and Access Road 1A in Port Aransas.

Organized completely by volunteers, Texas SandFest gave $105,000 to the Port Aransas community in 2015. The Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Bureau is proud to be a community partner in this event. “We are delighted to be a sponsor of Texas SandFest since its inception and welcome visitors to our beautiful beach,” said Ann Bracher Vaughan, President and CEO of the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Bureau. “We look forward to hosting sculptors and guests from around the world in Port Aransas during the 20th annual festival.”
